Day 9: 8th February 1947
Captain's diary
At 10.00am mail was transferred to St Kitts by jackstay.
The photo is from Captain Agnew's collection showing the King & Princess Elizabeth watching as St. Kitts is coming along side.
At 14.00pm Nigeria took over escort duty firing a Royal salute and cheering ship.

At 14.10 pm the home Fleet escorts parted company carrying out a fly past and steam past before doing so. Photo from the Captain showing the steam past Implacable, St Kitts then cruisers Cleopatra and Diadem .(Order not known about cruisers)
At 15.00 Nigeria transferred fruit and newspapers by jackstay.
