Day 74: 14th April 1947
Programme
10.00am The Train arrives Bulawayo Station met by Mr & Mrs Tredgold the Mayor and Mayoress
10.30 am The Royal Family enter cars for a drive supported by mounted police.
Route 13th Avenue-Main Street-Kings Avenue-Lady Stanley Avenue-Government House
3.00pm Garden party at Lendy Memorial in the park
Afternoon Tea in Central Park the Royal Party had informal time with the Guests.
Return to Government House
Postal Covers for the 14th April 1947. The first one has a nice postmark on the reverse side
The Royal Party were in Bulawayo for 3 days and so it is hard to sort out the pictures for the correct days as proved earlier dates from newspapers not to be relied on. So I have spread them over the 3 days.
